The absolutely stunning ‘The Black Rose’ is a unique customer commission and one of only three right-hand-drive Baturs that have been revealed by Bentley
Bentley ‘The Black Rose’ Batur
The Black Rose is one of only 18 Baturs hand-built by Mulliner’s Bespoke Studio and is an exquisite example of what collaboration between a passionate client and Mulliner can be. The car features a unique metallic paintwork called “Black Rose” commissioned exclusively for the client. The upper body features gloss Beluga. The front grille, ‘endless bonnet line’ bright ware, mirror caps, lower body kit and 22” trim-tone wheels all feature Satin Rose Gold Accents.

Inside, the cabin was specifically designed to have a rich darkness only broken up by the glimmer of rose gold. It features industry-first Bentley’s gold Additive Manufacturing (AM) 3D printed elements that adds up to 120 grams of 18-karat rose cold at key driver touchpoint. These touchpoints include the Drive Mode Selector and Bentley’s iconic Organ Stop vent controls. As well as a rose gold insert marker on the steering wheel to exemplify the mastery of Bespoke.
The other materials include rich Beluga leather, charcoal grey tweed fabric, and Black Rose metallic painted veneers to match the exterior color.

More on Three Dimensional Printed Gold
To achieve the three-dimensional printed gold elements, Bentley collaborated with renowned goldsmith Cooksongold to create the industry's first manufacturing technique. Using traditional materials and finishing techniques in combination with sustainably sourced raw materials, the collaboration used raw materials from 100 percent recycled jewelry, reflecting Bentley’s commitment to sustainability.
Every part of the Batur is hallmarked by Birmingham’s Jewelry Quartet, and any parts manufactured in 2022 also received the Jubilee hallmark, which celebrates the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee year.
In 2022, Bentley committed a total of £3 million ($3,881,190 USD) in investment to more than double its AM capacity at the factory in Crewe. While ‘The Black Rose’ features 18-karat rose gold, clients have a variety of finishes that can take advantage of Bentley’s AM capabilities, including aerospace-inspired titanium and leather-like textiles that are by-products of the coffee roasting process. However, Bentley makes note that Mulliner is only limited to the imagination of the clients dreams and other materials can be used for this process.
